Day 1: Bishkek - Ala Archa - Bishkek
We are happy to see you here! Thank you for choosing Silk Road Tours 3. When you arrive at Manas International Airport, you will be met by driver who accompany you to the capital of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek (30 minutes). Here is city tour provided by us where you can visit the Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic and others. Then we will drive to the Ala Archa gorge. It will take 45 km from Bishkek. Here is the natural park with unique nature. It is perfect for picnics and hiking. You will see terrific, located on a spur of the Tien Shan mountain range. Then, we will return to the capital. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek - Burana - Issyk Kul northern shore
Welcome to the next tour! Wake up at 8 a.m. and travel to the Issyk Kul lake. It is the second largest alpine lake in the world of 1608 m. above sea level. You can also call it "The pearl of Central Asia". On the way you can visit the Burana Tower and an open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors), which was built in the 11th century. On arrival to Cholpon Ata town you will see stone inscriptions found in the 800 B.C. by shamans (2000 years ago). You can also find ancient petroglyphs found by ancient people. Here is also a local ethnography museum, must be seen by visitors. Your night will be spent in the comfortable hotel.
Day 3: Issyk Kul - Grigorievskoye - Semenovskoye - Karakol
We are glad to present the next day of visiting Semenovskoye and Grigorievskoye. Being there you will be impressed by natural park of great nature. For sure you will be impressed by landscape and even see wild animals as hares, fox, yaks and others. We will continue our way to Karakol city. Visit the Dungan mosque of Chinese Buddhist style. It was built without nails. Also visit an old wooden Orthodox Church. Night in a guesthouse.
Day 4: Karakol - Skazka - Bokonbaevo
The next destination is the Jeti Oguz gorge (Seven Bulls). Here are seven red rocks placed in row. Travelers can see the Broken Heart Mountain as well. On the way you will enjoy wonderful views of panorama. Then you will drive by the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. It will take 4 km from the Tosor village to the splendid Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon. You will enjoy stunning red sand shapes of mixed looks. Afterwards we will drive to Bokonbaevo village and meet local eagle hunter. He will show you master class with birds. After that, you can take photos with birds. Your night will be spent in nomadic dwellings - yurts.
Day 5: Bokonbaevo - Kyzyl Tuu - Bishkek
Today we will travel to Bishkek city. On route, visit Kyzyl Tuu village. Here you will learn how to assemble nomadic felt yurts. They have a wooden skeleton. For sure you will be impressed! On arrival in Bishkek, you will have rest in a cozy hotel.
Day 6: Bishkek - Almaty
Today we will drive to Almaty, Kazakhstan. This is a wonderful country of Silk Road Tours 3. It is about 4 hours of road. On arrival, it is worth going to the famous Green Bazaar. You will find different kind of goods and learn more about local life. Then, you can visit the famous Panfilov Park as well as national Zenkov Cathedral. We will continue visiting the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame. It is dedicated to brave heroes who fought for independency of Kazakhstan. Afterwards we will visit the Medeo Gorge. It is perfect place for skating around mountains. Also you can visit Kok-Tobe hill and see the tallest TV tower in the world! We are sure you will be impressed by sites on tours. The tour will end by walking among souvenir shops and Almaty cableway. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 7: Almaty - Issyk - Almaty
After breakfast, you can visit amazing gorges of Trans-Ili Alatau as Issyk Gorge. It lies along the Kuldja tract. On this place you will see the burial mounds of Saka period as well as "Golden Man" which is considered to be the state symbol of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Drive to visit the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "ISSYK" where you can find a copy of Golden Man and golden items, ancient ceramics, weapon, elements of horse equipment and the model of Saka burial mound. Driving pass of 1756 meters above sea level and you will find stunning mountain Issyk Lake, found 10,000 years ago due to landslide which created 300 meters in height - dam. Being there you will have a picnic and landscape. The night will be spent in a hotel.
Day 8: Almaty - Tashkent
Be ready for flight at 12:15. You will arrive at Tashkent international airport at 12:50 and meet a driver who transfer you to the city. Welcome to the city tour where you can visit the Independence Square dedicated to the victory over fascism in World War II. Then walk along the local Broadway situated between Independence Square and Amir Timur Square. It is worth visiting the famous Tashkent metro. It is one of the beautiful places opened in 1977. Then you can visit old parts of the city as Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam complex that has madrasahs, mosques and mausoleum. Here you will see the sacred Othman Quran, which is considered to be the world's oldest Quran copy dated to the 8th century. Rest in a hotel.
Day 9: Tashkent - Bukhara
In the morning you will have flight to Bukhara. On arrival you will have an opportunity to visit the cultural and historical places of Uzbekistan. Start from citadel in Bukhara as Citadel Ark (4th century). It belongs to Bukhara Empire. Also you can see the Samanids mausoleum, found in the 9th and 10th century! The tour will be continued to Chashma Ayub (Job's well) and Bolo-Hauz mosque belonging to Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. On way, you will find souvenir shops. Afterwards drive to madrasahs of Nodir Divan Begi fitting to the Lyabi House Ensemble as well as Poi Kalon complex (12th - 16th century) with three structures as Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Today you will spend night in a hotel.
Day 10: Bukhara - Gijduvan - Samarkand
Welcome to the next day of driving to Samarkand. This is a very beautiful city full of interesting things. You will have a stop in Gijduvan village and get acquainted with pottery workshop. Gijduvan ceramics is national heritage of Uzbekistan, since ancient times. It is the castle for the sixth generation of potters of Narzullayevs family! Entering there you will see different geometric pattern colored in green and blue colors. We will continue our route to Bukhara, where we can visit the memorial complex of Al Bukhary. Al Bukhary offered the hadith collection known as Sahih al-Bukhari of Sunni Muslims! Thus, it is the national treasure of Uzbekistan. When you arrive to Samarkand, you will have rest in a hotel.
Day 11: Samarkand
Today you will have a city tour of Samarkand. You will find this city located on Valley of Zerafshan River. Samarkand is the second largest city of Uzbekistan like Babylon as Rome. Visit the Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square is the most visited places in Uzbekistan and three wonderful Madrasahs dated to the 15th -17th centuries. Shakhi-Zindeh is famous for a large collection of mausoleums dated to the 11th - 15th centuries. Later on, it became a part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bibi Khanum Mosque is dedicated to Tamerlane's wife, after his trip from India. Today you will spend night in a hotel.
Day 12: Samarkand - Oybek border - Penjikent
After having a hearty breakfast, we will travel to Oybek Border and then to Penjakent. Penjakent city or "five villages". It is located in Khujand area of Tajikistan in a striking Zeravshan river valley. You will find five villages dated to the 5th and 8th centuries AD. Speaking of Penjikent city, it is one of the cultural centers of Sogd and have got the second name as "Central Asian Pompeii". You can find there two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses made with different paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods. It is important to note that, its ruins were found in the last century. Travelers can see the remains of dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, fire worshiper's church and many others. Overnight is in the hotel.
Day 13: Penjakent - Iskanderkul Lake
The tour will start by driving to high Mountain lake - Iskanderkul of 2 255 m. a. s. l. It is great idea to see the famous Fann Mountains. This place is perfect for visitors to have fun on tours. You will enjoy on warm and sandy beach and be close to nature. Hike 20 minutes and see terrific waterfall. It is one the second place among the CIS countries for volume of water resources with more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 14: Iskanderkul Lake - Dushanbe
Start a day from hiking at Fann Mountains known as "Kuhistan" (Mountainous Country). In Fanns, you will be impressed by more than 30 pure and parti-colored lakes with diverse size and form. Travelers are welcome to spend days off on Fann Mountains. The nature will inspire by incredible flora and fauna. In the afternoon you will drive to Dushanbe via Anzob pass of 3 372 m as well as tunnel of Isticlol. Afterwards, rest in a hotel.
Day 15: Dushanbe - Norak - Dushanbe
We will start our day of visiting Norak water reservoir or Tajik Sea. It is largest reservoir in Tajikistan of 10.5 km2. The reservoir delivers the hydroelectric plant, located in the dam. Its waters used for agricultural land. The middle of the lake is enclosed by the gorges and snow tops peaks from all four sides. Afterwards, you will back to Dushanbe and have a city tour. Visit the Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal and House of parliament. Later on, you can walk to the Ministry of Inner Affairs and find the biggest National Flag in the world of 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. This is a great opportunity to take vibrant photos. Then, you can visit the Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments and take pleasure. We hope you will like our tours! Rest is in a hotel.
